A House for Essex, shortlisted for the 2017 Mies Van Der Rohe Award.

Completed in 2015, A House for Essex was designed by artist Grayson Perry and FAT architecture. EngineersHRW provided structural engineering consultancy throughout this project and others in the Living Architecture series. 

The unique building has now been shortlisted for the Mies Van Der Rohe Award which takes place every two years and represents the highest accolade in European Architecture.

A House for Essex is among 356 entries from across Europe, which includes 19 from the UK. The winning project will be announced in May 2017.
