New commercial offices in Wimbledon completed for Aviva Investors and Kingston Estates.
Pinnacle House was a five-storey concrete frame commercial building constructed in 1990 with post modern references typical of the period. The existing roof was removed and three storeys of additional floors added to the top of the building, the cores reconfigured and the front façade opened up and re-clad, transforming the building internally and externally.
The financial viability was significantly enhanced by engineersHRW’s structural design which re-directed internal loads and justified the existing foundations to avoid any foundation enhancement. Phased core construction and demolition meant temporary stability was maintained during the course of the works.
The contemporary refurbishment was designed by MATT architecture.
