Trada case study of Streatham and Clapham High School project

< Return to news

Trada have published an interesting new case study on our CLT project at Streatham and Clapham High School, designed in collaboration with Cottrell & Vermeulen Architecture.

The project required vertical and lateral extension of an existing building dating from the 1930’s. The scheme incorporates expressed CLT and glulam timber structure for the new school dining space and top storey extension structure.  The article published by Trada includes a contribution from one of our Directors, Martin Waters, describing how the structural principles helped to enrich the architectural design.  The project has won numerous awards, including the AJ Retrofit Award and an RIBA Regional Award.
