The project involves the conversion and extended a 1960’s office building into 15 light-filled compact (35m2) apartments and 2 penthouse apartments that capitalise upon some of Oxford’s much eulogised views.

EngineersHRW organised considered intrusive and non -intrusive investigations of the existing RC frame and developed a structural scheme that required no strengthening of the existing structure.

The architectural concept for the roof extension was of an origami form, this was translated into a lightweight steel-framed, SIPS infill structure.
