A new build private residence to be clad in flint using traditional methods of flint knapping and laying in lime mortar. Graded by colour, the flint rises from black at ground level through shades of grey to chalky white. The structural design required specific consideration of the building’s sculptural form and the range of materials specified which include flint, chalk, concrete, glass and stone.
