A new build nursery and Sure Start facilities were provided on the site of an existing school, this Civic Trust Award winning building consists of a one and two storey timber framed structure on a sloping site, with much of the structure exposed in the building. Bunched truss rafters spanning up to 12 meters create efficient and attractive clear span accommodation. The timber structure offered a cost effective and low embodied energy solution.
