Conversion of former garage and offices to a commercial gallery and studio. The structure is comprised of exposed concrete and brickwork to create an open, urban context for local artists’ work. A precast concrete plank floor was specified to span the long gallery hall without intermediate structure and to provide a concrete soffit finish. The roof incorporated a horizontal truss to restrain the wind posts in the front elevation to minimise the visual supporting structure.
