This accessible 38 meter sculpture provides a landmark feature for LandProp’s first UK development. A 20 acre site just south of the Olympic Park, the tower was completed in spring 2012 in time for the London Olympics. ARC-ML and engineersHRW proposed and devised the tower and were authorised to proceed by the client body who were excited by the potential to erect a sustainable structure in keeping with the philosophy of affordable quality. The form adopted was a hyperboloid which permits the use of straight sections to create a curved structure.
