Partial demolition of an existing church hall was required on this confined site concealed from the street behind the Kensington United Reform Church. The church hall was to be retained for use with no structure permitted to pass through it. Storey height steel trusses were adopted spanning the width of the church hall on to the masonry perimeter walls. The walls and foundations being justified for the additional two storeys of residential accommodation.
