Abingdon School
Farringdon Lodge provides new academic accommodation, specifically classrooms and support spaces for the Economics and Computer Science Departments. An efficient steel frame with an in-situ concrete floor sits on shallow reinforced concrete pad foundations. Roof construction of simple raking steel rafters and cold-formed purlins maximise internal spaces and reduce the building height.
