BBC Scotland
This state of the art headquarters building for the BBC in Scotland was built at Pacific Quay on the bank of the river Clyde. It houses all aspects of television, radio and internet, including production facilities, digital studios, technical support, archives and office spaces. The design encourages interaction between all the different communities within the building by means of a central atrium space that climbs up over the main studios. A large public studio is accommodated at ground floor at the east end of the building.
Structural engineering by Jane Wernick Associates, now part of engineersHRW.
