Flint House
A new build private residence designed to relate to its existing remote, picturesque environment. Clad in flint using traditional methods of flint knapping and set in lime mortar. Graded by colour, the flint rises from black at ground level through shades of grey to chalky white at the parapet. The structural design required specific consideration of the building’s sculptural form and the range of materials specified, which include flint, chalk, concrete, glass and stone.
