Kettner’s, Soho
This project revitalised a whole block of central Soho, bordered by Old Compton Street, Greek Street and Romilly Street. The historic buildings facing the streets were largely retained but later additions were completely demolished. This created a large central courtyard of around 200 sqm which was then developed with a new sub-basement, four floors of accommodation and an open-air rooftop bar. The listed buildings were linked via the new central spaces and incorporated into the development to create a new hotel and leisure facilities. The original grade I listed Kettner’s restaurant interiors were restored and the restaurant re-opened.
