Albion Street, Southwark
A housing development for London Borough of Southwark, providing 26 homes for social rent and shared ownership, with ground floor commercial space. The presence of an existing structure with a basement offered the opportunity to use demolition material to build-up levels, thus significantly reducing material removed from site, whilst also making use of existing retaining walls along Albion Street during the construction phase.
The Rotherhithe Tunnel approach road is located immediately adjacent to the development, which required structural and civil engineering designs to be developed to account for significant historic retaining structures.
We were appointed by Southwark up to planning and then by the Contractor for the delivery stage.
