Project Zeus, Harwell Science Park
Project Zeus is a development for Harwell Science Park, near Oxford: a world-leading science and technology park, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The brief was specific in that Harwell required a multi-occupier, multi-use building which could be subdivided into units of 1,500-5,000 sqft. Natural light and integration into the landscape also formed part of the brief. Our early design proposals featured a timber roof solution, although due to cost this was not adopted and instead a steel structure was designed. The roof bracing was developed to coordinate and trim the triangular roof lights.
