Sense Touchbase, Birmingham
A new community hub for the charity Sense in Selly Oak, Birmingham. The project comprises a number of specialist facilities, including different sensory rooms for members with disabilities. The concrete structure has allowed for large open plan spaces suiting the multi-disciplinary nature of the building; the concrete columns and soffits are exposed, contributing both aesthetically and functionally via the heating and cooling strategy. Columns and roof lights feature a variety of bevelled edges throughout the building.
